Sukhbaatar province is situated in the eastern part of Mongolia. In 1943, the province renamed as a Sukhbaatar who was a Mongolian revolutionary hero. The administrative center is Baruun-Urt, 560 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar at an altitude of 981 meters above sea level. The province has an estimated population of 52,700 inhabitants and it is famous for diversity of 7 different ethnic groups such as Khalkh, Dariganga, Uzemchin, Barga, Khuuchid, Uulda and Tsakhar.

Taliin agui - 10,000 cubic meter with a 200m long basalt cave, from its type, this cave is considered to be the largest in Mongolia,
Ganga lake - Kholboo Lake, Erdene Lake and Duut Lake are home to thousands of migrating swans,
Budriin Chuluu - collection of granite rocks extending over 15km which date back to the Mesozoic Era.
King, Queen, Prince and Bride Balbal - known as the King, the Queen, the Prince and the Bride and they were listed on the national strictly protected area list in 1988,

Since 2000, tourism has been developing rapidly in Sukhbaatar province. Through the information of Nature and Tourism Department of Sukhbaatar province 4937 tourists who are from local provinces and foreign countries traveled in this region in 2009.
